Portrait of the Alinde Quartet - Pure Quartet
The Alinde Quartet is one of the most exciting young chamber music ensembles and is currently pursuing a project that is sure to cause a stir. At its core is Franz Schubert, who also played a decisive role in the group's naming.
"You sought so faithfully: now find!"—so ends a poem by Friedrich Rochlitz, which Franz Schubert set to music in January 1827: "Alinde." The quartet, founded in 2010, took its name from this piece. Schubert's works will continue to occupy the ensemble for some time. With the 200th anniversary of the composer's death in sight, the project #Schubert200 aims to record all of Schubert’s quartets and other chamber music. In addition, the ensemble is commissioning new works inspired by "Alinde."
