about

History

GetClassical In School is dedicated to introducing classical musicians directly into New York City classrooms, enriching students' educational experiences through immersive musical encounters.

Founded on the principles of music education benchmarks such as the National Arts Standard and NYC Blueprint, the initiative identifies and addresses crucial elements missing from classical music education in schools.

Misson

The mission at GetClassical In School is to bridge the gap between classical music and young audiences by providing engaging and educational interactions with professional musicians.

Through workshops, performances, and discussions, the initiative aims to inspire students, foster a deeper appreciation for classical music, and promote cultural enrichment within schools.

Approach

GetClassical In School takes a hands-on approach to music education, offering immersive and interactive workshops that cater to the needs and interests of each classroom.

By delving into music's history, compositional techniques, and emotive power, our workshops provide students with a deeper understanding and appreciation of classical music.

Through personal anecdotes, demonstrations, and discussions, our artists aim to inspire creativity, mutual respect, and healing through the universal language of music.
