History
Kinderhilfee.V. is dealing with the insidious illness and coping with work and family life at the same time present incredible difficulties that seem simply insurmountable for most families. It is therefore important to listen, to encourage, to support and to help. In 2017, Kinderhilfe e.V. was able to acquire a country house in Bad Malente that was originally used as a hotel garni.
Landhaus Krummsee was built around 1906 a country-style summer house for a wealthy Bremen merchant family. It is now available to families who, after a long period of treatment and therapy for their child with cancer, are looking for a place where they can enjoy some time out and find rest and peace to stand and comfort.
The building fabric has aged accordingly and parts of it are in need of renovation. Renovation and maintenance work was carried out properly and professionally. Nevertheless, major refurbishment work is now necessary to ensure the continue operation of the aftercare project.
Our involvement
KINDERHILFEe.V. is now dependent on financial support in order to continue to offer Landhaus Krummsee as a place of recreation for children with cancer and seriously ill children and their families. ALTHAFEN Foundation is supporting Kinderhilfe e.V. with the renovation of Landhaus Krummsee.
