Alinde Quartett: Streichquartett im Kleinen Saal

  • Konzerthaus Berlin 2 Gendarmenmarkt Berlin, BE, 10117 Germany (map)

The Alinde Quartet, named after Franz Schubert's song Alinde, is currently undertaking the ambitious project of recording all of the string quartets by the composer, who died at a tragically young age. This endeavor is in collaboration with Hänssler Classic and Deutschlandfunk.

What makes this project unique is that each CD also features a commissioned composition inspired by Schubert, building a bridge between the past and the present. The complete six-part series is planned for release by Schubert’s 200th birthday in 2028. In this concert, alongside two of Schubert’s quartets – including the renowned Death and the Maiden – audiences will hear a work inspired by the composer as well as a quartet by the young Barcelona-based composer Marc Migó, which draws on the Catalan folk dance Sardana.
